Can every photo reach 100 KB?
No. JPG and WebP compression may reduce quality and dimensions. A warning means at least one requested constraint was not met. Check small text and faces in the downloaded image before submitting it.
Can I keep PNG or WebP instead of JPG?
Yes. The format selector overrides the prefilled JPG requirement. PNG stays PNG even when it cannot reach the size limit; it is not silently converted to JPG. Only choose WebP when the destination accepts it.
Why might a 100 KB result still be refused?
Here 100 KB means 102,400 bytes. Some forms use a stricter 100,000-byte limit: choose 97 KB for a margin. Other checks can include dimensions, file type and image content. Meeting the size target does not guarantee acceptance.
What would I choose for a 600 by 600 JPG avatar?
If the form explicitly asks for JPG, 600 by 600 pixels and at most 100 KB, set JPG, width 600, height 600 and maximum 100 KB. Compare all three output properties. This is a settings example, not a promise that every input can meet those constraints.
