Privacy

MakeFileFit is operated by Jonathan Montagne, entrepreneur individuel, under the SDS name. Image processing and PDF cleanup run in your browser. The file-processing code does not upload your selected files to our servers. This does not mean that the website makes no network requests: hosting, usage measurement and advertising are separate services.

Files

Files remain on your device during processing. Temporary browser objects are released when the page is closed or refreshed; files you download remain on your device until you remove them. PDF cleanup clears common document information fields, not every embedded item. It is not redaction or anonymization and can invalidate digital signatures.

First-party usage measurement

The application sends page-view, language-change and completed-processing events to /api/analytics. Events can include the page path, browser language, file category, file count and requested output settings. The server adds a random event identifier, date and time and, when available, the referring hostname. These events are stored in a Cloudflare D1 database. File contents, file names and the pasted requirements text are not included in these event payloads. The database schema has no IP-address or persistent visitor-identifier field. This is not a promise of complete anonymity: hosting infrastructure receives connection information when serving requests.

These first-party events do not depend on an analytics-cookie choice. There is currently no automatic event-deletion schedule implemented in the application. Contact us with questions about these records. Avoid including personal details in URLs or output settings.

Hosting is provided through OpenAI Sites on Cloudflare infrastructure. The application database and infrastructure logs are different: absence of an IP field in our event table does not mean that providers never process connection or security logs.

Browser storage

Your language preference and whether you selected it manually are kept in browser local storage under filefit-language and filefit-language-manual. You can remove them by clearing this site's browser data. Google Analytics and Plausible are not configured in the production settings checked on 1 October 2026; no claim of a verified advertising-consent flow is made here.

Google advertising

The public page declares the Google AdSense script from pagead2.googlesyndication.com. A configured script or an empty ad placement does not mean that Google has approved the site or that an ad is displayed. When third-party scripts load, their providers receive network requests and may process connection information, cookies or identifiers under their own settings and policies. Local file processing does not prevent these separate requests. Read how Google uses information from partner sites and Google's privacy policy.

Sensitive documents

Always review critical legal, medical, identity or government files before submission. Automated conversion can change quality, dimensions or metadata.
